Dad's birthday+ Gift haul

Hello,
Right well yesterday was our dad's birthday and it was the big 6-0 for him. We wanted to make it extra special as we normally buy him a box of chocolates or something small and not very thoughtful. But this was not just any birthday, he was 60 years old and deserved something special. We thought about things we could buy him and we decided that together we would make him a "birthday box" which is just a box full of presents. We decided to get him 60 presents, some very very small (under £1 even) and some big, but we left it to late and came to a decision to get him something else. Alexa found an amazing website called getting personal (http://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk/) and it had some really amazing personalized gifts. Our dad loves history and books so she got him a massive book- The daily mirror of your decade, 1940's. It has over 100 newspaper articles from the 1940's, including 1949 the year our dad was born. He loved it and has been fixed to it since. She also got him a Family history gift box, in which you register online and a team of historians research your family name and give you some information on the name and what it means. He said it was very thoughtful and that he loved it. I (Lacey) made him a "pamper hamper" full of his favourite stuff. We got him some Lush stuff because we really want him to try some as we are so in love with lush. I got him the dude gift set from lush and that contained:
Ambrosia shaving cream
Tramp shower gel
The happy pill
Ice blue soap
It came with popcorn inside as some sort of stuffing or something and he ate some LOL. I also got him three of his favourite bath ballistics, vanilla fountain, waving not drowning and butterball.
I also filled the box which I wrapped specially with his all time favourite things,
Adidas deodrants
Radox shower gel (it soothes his muscles but smells distgusting!)
Chocalte brazil nuts
Wholenut milk chocolate
Walnut whips.
Alexa also got him two very lovely little presents. A tea coaster with a beautiful message on, and a little plaque/picture thing that was lovely and had a sweet message on. It said- Anyone can be a father, it takes someone special to be a teacher.
That's all we got him and he said he liked everything. Alexa also used her great editing skills (not) on making him a picture slideshow video which she is burning onto a disc and giving as a present to him today.
We ate cake in the morning before I went to school and Alexa had the day off being homeschooled. In the evening we went out to a cute little restauraunt to eat out. Alexa and I had a really nice pasta bake, salad and garlic bread followed by hot chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and Dad and Mum had a bowl of chips each as they weren't very hungry. It was a lovely day :D
I can't wait for Alexa's birthday on october 17th! She will be 15 and it is this saturday :D

A few things Alexa also got for me. This really cute marble slab, the best friend slab and the coaster which says lucy instead of lacey(there were no lacey's).

Lush haul

Hey guys!
It's Alexa here. Today Lacey went to Lush and picked up a few things. I wrote her a list of stuff to get for me and she got it all for me and to be honest I was quite disappointed with it. So this is just a blog about all the stuff I got and the stuff that Lacey got for herself and our Dad for his birthday.
The things that Lacey got will not really be mentioned that much because I personally don't know much about them, I will just show the pictures and say what they are with the prices. Ok so to start with Lacey's stuff and my dad's birthday presents.

These pictures are the whole lot of what we got today.
The things Lacey got:
The Joy of Jelly shower jelly which cost £
Rockstar soap cost £
The Godmother soap cost £
The presents she bought for my dad were:
Dude gift set box which cost £
Vanilla Fountain cost £
Butterball cost £
Waving not Drowning cost £

Right so here are the pictures of everything.

These pictures also have my soaps, miranda and I should coco.
Ok so here is everything that I got and after the list and pictures, I will write a little bit about each of the things. I got a couple of things. I got 2 soaps, Miranda and I should coco. I should coco is really nice and it is so pretty. It is white and really creamy and coconutty. It has a layer of pink coconut on the top and looks really nice. It smells alright, I personally am not crazy on it but it's not bad and I pretty much don't mind it. I would not recommended it on a smell basis but it is nice and creamy and is really nice and flakey. I can't wait to try it. Miranda is really plain and I don't really like it very much, I actually am regretting buying it. It smells horrible and isn't very pretty. I'm not even sure what it's supposed to look like. I haven't tried it yet but I will try it later. I am not very impressed yet.
This is I should coco.
and this is Miranda.
Then I got a comforter bubble bar which is amazing! It is huge and smells amazing. It smells like candyfloss and it looks beautiful as well. I am sure that it will be really nice to use also. I don't have anything much to say about it really because it's just to good to be true to be honest.

I also got some bath ballistics:
Honeybee
Big blue
Think pink
Honeybee is really nice. I does smell quite similar to Honey I washed the kids which is AMAZING!!! so I really love the smell. I think it's really cute and they look like bumblebees :D It is yellow and purple and looks so cute.
Big blue is nice as well. It doesn't really smell very nice and I don't think it looks great either. It's an alright colour but that is probably the only good thing about it. It might be really nice but I'm very doubtful about it to be honest.
Think pink is definately my favourite. I love it! It looks and smells amazing and is very very very nice. It is so pretty and it has little flowers on it and is really cute in general. I know it turns the water pink and I can't wait for it! I love the flowers on top and think they are adorable. It's my fave!
The last thing I got was an emotibomb and it looks really nice but does not smell very nice and I am not looking forward to using it.
It's the up you gets emotibomb
Nothing much to say about this one. Overall I was pretty disappointed by the stuff I got, the majority didn't impress me very much but I am sure that I will enjoy it.

Bargain haul, Matalan.

Yesterday Lacey and I went to matalan to get some jeans on our way back from school. Lacey didn't get anything, but I got 7 things for £49. I bought some dark skinny jeans which are really nice, they cost £12 and they have an orange belt that is metallic that was included in the price.

Lacey found the jeans and I didn't really want them because they were skinny jeans and I have never owned skinny jeans in my life! But Lacey found them and I thought that they were pretty cool. I didn't try them on it the shop because we were in a rush but I decided to get them anyway as my dad paid for them. As we were queueing at the checkout, I spotted some hair extensions and they said they were 3 for 2 but I only bought 1 as I had spent all the money I had taken with me. They cost £4 and were an absolute bargain, they are clip in and they're synthetic hair so they aren't real hair, but they are so silky and long and just feel fantastic when they are in. So for £4 I really can't complain!

I got 5 tops and they were all very basic but I thought they looked really nice. The first top was half price it was £12 but I got it for £6 and it looked pretty cool. I have been seeing a lot of dogtooth print pieces of clothing from pictures of London fashion week and in some fashion sections of magazines, so when I saw this I knew I had to get it espiecally as it was half price. It's red and pretty cool to be honest, it has a dogtooth pattern all over it and it has slits in the arms and it kind of hangs off the shoulders.

Then I got 4 tops and they were on special offer. The first two tops were 2 for £12 and they are very long, they are plain and clutch and the bottom and have a zip on one side at the bottom. I really like these and they slouch at the shoulders. One is blue and one is dark purple.

Thats the blue one and this is the purple one.

That's the purple one, it's a very dark purple but it looks black in the pictures. It's not that black in real life.
Finally, I got 2 tops for £15 and these are my favourite. They are black with a colour stripe down the middle and have little slouchy pockets on the bottom. They are really long and I might wear them with leggings or with my skinny jeans, or by themselves as just a dress. They are great value. One is black and white and one is black and purple.

So that is all I got and I thought it was a bargain :)
I have a haul video on this uploaded on youtube.
Thanks for reading :)
